Ryan Dorsey paid tribute to his late wife Naya Rivera for what would be his 34th birthday on Tuesday.
The actress, 37, was married to Glee star from 2014 to 2018 and is now raising their son, Josey, five, as a single father following his death last July.
Sharing a photo of her with Rivera and their baby, Dorsey wrote on Instagram: ‘It’s just as surreal as it is true you are no more. If that makes sense, but none of this makes sense… 34, I would just hear you say ‘Ah, I’m old AF now!’ … Rest easy old lady. ‘
In a black and white snap, Rivera holds her son as Dorsey leans over and takes a picture.
The actor passed away during a boat trip with Josey in Lake Piru in Ventura County, northeast of Los Angeles.
His body was found five days after he went missing and a coroner ruled that his death was ‘accidental drowning’.
Several previous Glee stars also took to social media to commemorate the actor, who acted as Santana in all six seasons of the TV music program.
Heather Morris, who played the role of Rivera on the screen girlfriend Brittany and was Rivera’s best friend off screen, shared a photo of these.
‘Happy birthday to my angel,’ wrote Morris, 33.
‘I can’t write a sappy monologue because it’s so hard,’ he said, ‘but I love you and I can’t explain how much I miss you.’
Chris Colfer, starring Kurt Hummel, posted a picture of himself on Twitter with the caption: ‘Happy birthday, baby. I miss you. ‘
Others who shared their thoughts included Jane Lynch and Amber Riley.
Fans have also received the hashtag #NayaRivera on Twitter as they remember Glee’s star.
‘My heart aches that you are no longer here for us. Let’s do this #NayaRiveraDay, ‘writes one user.
‘Listening to #NayaRivera’s memory on her birthday and hearing her talk about her dreams and regrets just hurt my heart,’ said one fan.
