they have other clients as well i.e.

So let us start with the easiest freelancing option first
and then we will discuss those 5 ways.
So the 1st way is caption writing you can call this captions also
and subtitles also basically in this video I’m speaking in Hindi
but below the caption which you see will be enabled
when you will click on the CC button then you will see in English
as many of my viewers don’t understand Hindi
so the text which is written below I don’t add that
this is added by a freelancer whom we call a subtitle editor
A subtitle editor almost charges Rs.100 per minute
this amount may vary but if your English is good you can charge
Rs.100 per minute as my videos are almost around 10 minutes
so per video, I pay Rs.1000 to a subtitle editor
in a month if 12 videos are made, they earn Rs. 12k from me
In the same way, if they have 3-4 clients they can earn Rs.50k
as a subtitle editor.
To become a subtitle editor your English should be good
or in whichever language you are converting the caption
in that language, you should have the command.
Now the tool which I will recommend to you is ‘Grammarly’
Grammarly is a Chrome extension you can use its free version
with that whenever you will write anything in English
if there is any grammatical or spelling error
at that time itself, it will give you the option to correct it
Now how to write subtitles there 2-3 ways for that but
the easiest way is to make an ‘SRT’ file so SRT is a file format
any creator gives you a video, in the SRT file you type captions
using the time stamps.
And then you send the SRT file to the creator
how to make an SRT file for this I will link a video in description
so that you can learn this process easily by watching that video
Writing subtitles is not a very difficult job if you want then
you can start this journey now itself
and within 7 days you can learn this process.
2nd freelancing option is Research and Script Writing
Now Research and Script Writing means as I’m making this video
for this video which topic should I pick, then research that topic.
What all has to be spoken in the video and then writing a script
Now for my channel topics and research, both are done by me
and I only write the script also
But many creators hire script writers for this work
A classic example of this is the book summary channels
there is a channel –
Readers Book Club you may have heard
which shares the summary of different books
Just think in every video they have to share summary of 1 book
then how many books they will be able to read as a creator
They hire script writers who will share the book summary as a
script and then they make a video.
Previously one student used to work with me as an editor
and he shared that the book summary channels almost pay Rs.800-1000
per script.
Same way, other scriptwriters also charge Rs.500-1000/script
for any video for which they write the script
If you want to become a good researcher and scriptwriter
then you should know to use ChatGPT
by using ChatGPT you can make the base script for any video
and after that, you should know the research skill
so that you can verify every point and can find
some examples.
I would highly recommend that the channels that have 1 million
subscribers you just see their videos and note the scripts
You can see a pattern of scripts the big creators write
and you will also know the art of scriptwriting.
3rd freelancing option is SEO and description writing
SEO means Search Engine Optimization
In simple words when you will go to YouTube and write
How to earn 50K in a month then will my video be the first?
for this thing, I have to do SEO i.e.
in my video’s description
in the title I have to add words so that you as a user will search
for anything then my video should pop out
This work is done majorly for those channels
for whom the traffic comes through search
like educational channels, finance channels, legal channels
entertainment channels like Tanmay Bhat or Lakshay Chaudhary
for them, it’s not done, their traffic doesn’t come from search
their traffic comes from the home page
Now how this is done for that there are 2 famous tools
used. 1st is called TubeBuddy
and 2nd is called vidIQ.
Everyone uses the free version of this so that they can do SEO
I followed a US-based creator, her name is Cathrin Manning
and some of her videos were so good, I easily understood
how to do SEO and keyword research
I’d highly recommend that you watch her videos, I’ll share links
This is generally not on per video basis but on monthly basis
so you can earn 10k-15k as an SEO and a description writer
4th freelancing option is of Thumbnail Making
thumbnails mean by clicking on which you reach the video
to make that 2 major skills are required.
1st is Hook which we call clickbait also
and 2nd is Graphic Designing i.e. what quality, which color combinations are used
in any thumbnail hook or clickbait is very important
rather than the quality of the thumbnail.
i.e.
any color will work but if there’s nothing curious
there is no clickbait element then nobody clicks
now to do that again you should check out the thumbnails of
1 Million plus creators like Ranveer Allahbadia, Tanmay Bhat
Lakshay Chaudhary
then you will get to know what is hook
2nd thing is your graphic design i.e.
how better you can make it
to start that you can use software which is called Canva
I have made my channel’s 100-200 video thumbnails
on my own using Canva’s free version
As a thumbnail artist, you charge anywhere between 100-250
But as your skills will go on improving
then you charge anywhere between 250-1000 per thumbnail
Now the software which I have recommended you
which is Canva by using that how you can make a thumbnail
for that also there is a nice video already available on YouTube
I will link it in the description.
You will use it for YouTube videos & also for reels, posters
and then through that also you can earn money
The 5th and final freelancing option is the editing videos
Now the videos are of 2 types one is long-form videos
which you see on YouTube long videos.
and the 2nd is short-form which you see in reels & shorts.
At this point there are 2 good suggestions I have
which my editors have given me 1st suggestion is that
if you do the editing for reels i.e. short-form content
then it is better ROI for you which means less time is required
in less time you get more money
To edit a 10-minute video you pay almost Rs.1000-3000
as a creator, if you are paying for a short-form reel i.e. 60-sec
then it goes somewhere around Rs.300-1000
i.e. for a very less amount of editing, you tend to pay more
So for you as a Freelancer editor Return on Investment is high.
if you do editing for short-form content start with reels
2nd suggestion that my editor has given me is
if you do the reel editing for US creators i.e. foreigners
then you can earn better as their paying capacity is high.
Now for editing many videos are made but a channel is famous
whose name you would’ve heard for sure
which is Tharun Speaks and I believe that his videos help a lot
in understanding how editing is done.
So these are 5 ways and tips so you can start freelancing.
I honestly don’t know how much this video might have helped
as I don’t know much about freelancing.
But as a beginner who has done everything from the start.
